There are combinations of keys that you can use on your keyboard that when keyed together will yield what is known as a shortcut. The most common of these is probably the CTRL+ALT+DELETE shortcut which will bring up screen giving you options such as locking your computer, restarting your computer, or opening the task manager.
We’re going to take a look at the top 20 keyboard shortcuts for the common user of Windows software.

We hope that you’re able to find these as useful as we have in being great time savers and making your computing more expedient:

CTRL+C Copy

CTRL+V Paste

CTRL+X Cut

CTRL+A Select All – This function selects every character in a certain field.

CTRL+U Either begins underlining what you type, or underlines selected text.

CTRL+I Either begins italics for what you type, or makes selected text italics.

CTRL+B Either begins bold text for what you type, or makes selected text bold.

CTRL+Z Undo the last operation

CTRL+Y Redo the last operation

ALT+TAB Toggles between screens. For example if you’re working with Internet Explorer and MS Word this shortcut will toggle between the two.

CTRL+R Refreshes the screen that you’re on.

BACKSPACE On a website, this will also serve the same as the back button.

CTRL+B in a web browser will pull up your bookmarks menu.

ALT+f4 will close the current window that you have on your screen.

Windows Key+M will minimize all windows and show you the desktop.

Window+L will lock your computer

F2 after selecting a file will prompt you to rename the file.

CTRL+N will open a new browser window (Internet Explorer or Firefox).

CTRL+T will toggle between tabs in your web browser (IE or Firefox)

ALT+V will open your menus at the top of the page like the File Menu etc. You can navigate through these using the arrow keys.

Play with these a little bit to see what they’ll do and how you might be able to use them in your daily tasks. You’ll find it quite handy to not have to reach over to grab your mouse every time that you want to do a task.

Warning: spam emails are not just annoying anymore. There are 3 NEW types of spam that are taking over in-boxes across America that threaten your privacy and security of your computer.
The new spam e-mails are causing millions of users to get infected, spoofed, and robbed by online criminals who have discovered new ways to sneak into your computer.

Ignore these threats and you could end up paying hefty fees to not only clean and restore your PC back to working order, but also clean up identity theft issues. Right now, here are the 3 most venomous threats:

Hijacked and spoofed e-mail addresses. Spammers have discovered new ways to make it appear as though spam is coming from YOUR computer. This could result in having your Internet connection terminated or your email being blocked by your ISP – all without your knowledge.

Viral Spam. Accidentally open a spam e-mail carrying a nasty virus, and you can end up with big problems ranging from the slowing of your system to more serious threats such as system crashes, data loss, identity theft, redirecting your web browser to porn sites, and more.

Phishing spam. A phishing e-mail appears to be a legitimate email from a bank, vendor, friend, or other trusted source when in reality, it is a malicious third party that is going to use your information to open credit card accounts, access your account, steal money, and cause you other major identity and financial problems.

Phishing emails are getting incredibly convincing, and thousands have already fallen victim. If you have staff, make sure they are ALL aware of these scams or their mistake could end up infecting your entire network’s security and stability.

How to Protect Yourself:
Want to be absolutely certain that you are protected from these threats? The take our FREE 7-Day Spam Challenge and we’ll PROVE to you that our new Spam Filtering Service is the fasted, easiest, most effective way to permanently filter annoying spam emails, GUARANTEED.

Here’s how it works…
Call or email us and say, “I want to take your FREE 20-Day Spam Challenge.” We’ll instantly setup a company-wide filter on your in-box for 20-days.
The process will take only a few minutes, and can often be done remotely, but for the rest of the week, you’ll enjoy a “skinny” in-box with no more annoying spam.

At the end of the 20-Day period, we’ll send you a detailed report that will reveal:
·How much spam is actually clogging your inbox; the answer will shock and amaze you.
·How much time you spend every day sifting, sorting, and deleting spam emails.
·An exact dollar amount on what spam is costing you and your organization.
Once you fall in love with your new spam-free inbox (and we’re confident you will), we can set you up with a permanent spam-filtering account for as little as 10 cents per day per mailbox.
If you aren’t absolutely thrilled with this filtering service for any reason, we’ll remove the service at no cost or risk to you. No risk, no guilt, and no payment!
